Our in house stylists have been having  a whale of a time since the new Spring Summer collections have arrived, because this season’s collections are our best yet, and our customers couldn’t agree more! All the bod & ted are fashion loving ladies who love to shop ourselves which means we know what the perfect shopping experience is – one which is enjoyable! That’s why bod & ted have introduced a personal styling service, where you can sit back and relax and let us shop for you in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Faye and Francesca picked out pieces which epitomise their individual style, and as you can see the results are gorgeous!

Faye has an effortless style and an easy-going, fun attitude so she has picked a look which really reflects her personality and one that she feels she will get a lot of wear out of! She describes this look as her ‘summer boho look’, which is perfect for her summer festival plans! Faye has teamed a pair of ba&sh Denim Joss Shorts (seriously comfortable by the way!), with the classic yet detailed Odd Molly The Pure tunic – a combo that you really cannot go wrong with! Finally, a boho look wouldn’t be complete without a pair of Minnetonkas, and this lace up knee high pair in brown are just perfect for this outfit!

Festival Faye!

Francesca, like Faye, loves an effortless look, but always likes her clothes to have an edge and reflect the key trends. Traditionally a black, grey and white kinda gal, she has picked pieces which work within those boundaries, but offer something a bit different too. For outfit number 1, Francesca was looking for something she could wear for a friends birthday out on the town in London, and she wanted something that was a simple clean cut but had serious attitude. The ba&sh Santiago dress was the perfect choice! With its leather detailing it definitely has an edge and finished off with a champagne coloured skull scarf it looks seriously cool!

Francesca is also going to a wedding next month and has had her eye on the Marimekko Kevennys dress since it first arrived in store! Prints were all over the catwalk this season and the cut is perfectly on-trend with its 1960s influences. And with an Avoca Stone Roses print umbrella (only available in store) she is prepared for whatever the weather throws at her!

All you wonderful bod & ted fans will know that in recent months so many of our brands have made headlines in magazines – so as you can imagine, our buying team are feeling a bit smug! From Maison Scotch, and American Vintage, to Nobody jeans, they have all made their way into Grazia, Vogue, You Magazine, Elle… the list is seriously endless! But now we have a new brand to add to that list! Oh yes ladies, over the last few months especially, the wonderful Fine Collection has appeared in endless glossys! Their collection of simple yet classic basics, oozing that French effortless which we have come to know and love about their range, are so easy to wear and pair with things in your wardrobe you will never want to take them off! We have a great selection of long sleeved, ¾ sleeved, short sleeved, tanks, and jumpers from the French brand, so you will be spoilt for choice! All their pieces are made out of the softest of fabrics, with mixes of cotton, silks and cashmeres, and there are so many wonderful colours in the collection too! This season especially there are some seriously pretty pastel tees, and if you really want to inject some colour into your wardrobe some bright and beautiful orange dresses and jumpers too.

On Thursday 26th April bod & ted hosted an amazing Fashion Show with Save The Children, and what a night it was! Not only was it a full house, but all our guests and staff had a fantastic time too and there was a great atmosphere and buzz about the place! It took place in an absolutely stunning beamed barn in The Dairy, Sundridge which was so gorgeous we just wanted to move in straight away!

While the bod & ted team were adding the finishing touches to our models backstage, (and getting increasingly excited we might add!) our guests started to arrive and were warmly welcomed inside with a glass of champagne. After some nibbles and some natter everyone was shown their seats where there was a little surprise for all our guests, in the form of a goody bag filled with all sorts of wonderful treasures, including a fab skull scarf from bod & ted!

Our stylists split the show into 6 sections, from brights and casual collections, to wedding and evening wear, so there was something for everyone. Our models really got into the spirit of things, strutting their stuff with a smile on their faces and some serious feminine attitude! Gasps of ‘ooh wow!’ were heard on numerous occasions as the models appeared on the catwalk, so of course the bod & ted team all had massive smiles on their faces!

The results of the raffle were drawn and well done to all of you who won those amazing goodies – we hope you enjoy them! All the money raised from the raffle was in aid of Save The Children so a big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket! At the end of the show we put all of the outfits out for our guests to take a closer look and it was a case of grab it while you can! All of the outfits flew off the rails!

So now we would like to take the opportunity of thanking everyone who came to the event and supported us and Save The Children. We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone from Save The Children for helping us organise the event! We had such a great time, and can’t wait until our next event! We told you this brand was going to be one to watch, and true to our word it is making some serious headlines!  Maison Scotch has already  been featured in Grazia magazine a number of times this year, and now it has made its way into great style magazines such as the Daily Mail’s Saturday style supplement ‘You’ and the ever fabulous ‘Vogue’!  We knew we were onto a goodun when we decided to stock Maison Scotch!  This is our first season stocking this fabulous brand, and so far it is going down a treat!  The Maison Scotch look is so easy to wear, and every piece has something about it which makes it stand out from the crowd.  Not only that, they use great quality fabrics, and the cuts are always chic and elegant.  Their aesthetic is an eclectic mix of a Parisian ‘je ne said quoi’, New York street style and Japanese design, which together forms a winning combo which oozes effortless and femininity.  Check out Maison Scotch’s most recent press in ‘You’ and ‘Vogue’ magazine below, and you will see that both the pieces featured we have in stock!  What can we say.. they have great taste!

We can proudly annouce that we are hosting a fab fashion show on Thursday 26^th April, in association with Save the Children!  We have been seriously looking forward to this event and itching to tell you all about it,  and now the date is set, it’s time to get the word out!

When you love fashion as much as we do, and have a selection of clothes to die for, the best way to show them off and show how to wear them to perfection, is a full blown fashion show!  Thats what the bod & ted team were thinking when we put together our Spring Summer collections this season.  We think it is our best yet, so wanted to showcase all of our great designer brands in style!  So to give you a little teaser of what is going to heppen on this style-studded night..There will be an amazingly stylish catwalk show, which will give you loads of ideas on how to build an outfit for every occasion, styling and beauty tips, a fashion and accessories sale (you can even buy straight off the catwalk too!), and a raffle with some amazing prizes to be won!  And naturally no fashion show would be complete without some bubbly, so have one on us!  We even have a great goody bag for
all our guests to go home with too!

Its going to be a fun and fabulous night ladies so tell your friends and book a ticket or two today!  Tickets are only £15 per person and go towards Save the Children.  Fun fashion and all for a good cause!

Of all the things which never go out of style, stripes are by far the most versatile and classic of looks in the book.  Who could forget the classic Chanel styling of black trousers and a striped tee; it was the look that started it all and continues to inspire designers to indulge in a bit of stripe action.  In fact that Chanel look is what continues to inspire out stylists at bod & ted- we love the simple yet stylish look that that image was so famous for!  Teamed with a pair of jeans (black or pale denim- it all looks amazing!) a striped tee can look effortless and chic, and for warmer days a striped dress just oozes style and sophistication.  We really cannot fault the stripe – it just works with everything!

And because we know you love stripes as much as we do, we have bought some seriously stunning stripy numbers for our bod & ted boutiques this season!  By Malene Birger has produced some real gems in the form of the  Newa top in Midnight Blue, and Newa top in black, to her Nagat top in Raspberry (for a splash of colour) or Nagat top in Midnight Heaven, and we simply adore her Takinhi Dress- its a holiday must!  The Essiu Pullover is also proving to be a real favourite with our customers, as its versatile and so easy to wear!

Our new brand Maison Scotch also gets top marks for its nautical Sailor Sweat Jacket- its quirky finishing touches make it a really unique piece!  We also love Maison Scotch’s Sailor Tee – the lace up detailing on the back neckline really makes this piece a keeper!

Another favourite for striped stunners comes from Finnish brand Marimekko.  We are loving the Kaste Jacket because worn open or closed it still looks awesome, and the Sivellin Dress is perfect for a smarter occasion, but is still really light and comfortable- double gold stars there!
