The Oscars 2014 – Red Carpet Roundup

We held our annual Academy Awards party last night, and as per usual there seemed to be more focus on the fashion than on the awards themselves! It seemed that many were reluctant to take any risks and pale un-interesting dresses were the trend for the night. However, there were some looks that we absolutely loved, so here is a run-down of our top 5!

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts was a vision in white on Sunday in a Calvin Klein Collection dress with a Bulgari necklace that we would never have thought of pairing with the dress. We love that she is always willing to take a risk which is why she has gained our number 5 spot.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson

In at number 4, Emma Watson sparkled (literally) in this stunning metallic and black Vera Wang sleeveless gown which really showed off her figure. Our favourite thing about this look was how she has kept it classy but completely age-appropriate with her mussed up hair and red lipstick.

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong’o

It’s no surprise that Lupita has made it onto our best dressed list as she has absolutely killed it this awards season. She stood out in a sea of nudes in this custom made baby blue Prada dress. We love this unexpected colour choice and her pretty sparkling headband…she gets our number 3 spot!

Camilla Alves

Camilla Alves

It was all about pastels for us this year, and Camila Alves rocked this pastel pink Gabriela Cadena gown, that draped perfectly over one shoulder. Her husband Matthew McConaughey may have landed the Best Actor Award, but Camila has surely landed herself on best-dressed lists everywhere for this look.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson

Our number 1 spot this year goes to Kate Hudson, channeling old-school Hollywood in a plunging, white beaded Atelier Versace gown. In our opinion she won hands-down this year in her elegant, yet sexy gown that showed off her figure to perfection. Stunning!
