red carpet round up – the 2015 oscars

The Oscars is by far the most exciting awards show all season, and let’s face it we get just as excited about the fashion as we do about who takes home those coveted gold statues! The A-listers were on fire on Sunday night in Hollywood for the 87th Academy Awards, and we spotted some of our favourite designers, from Oscar De La Renta to Saint Laurent. So let’s kick things off with our #5 best dressed:

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts looked incredibly cool with her dark lip and messy un-done ‘lob’, wearing Armani. This gorgeous black and silver gown is classic yet fashion forward, with some pretty daring cut-outs which only exaggerate her fab figure.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is the queen of old-school Hollywood glamour, and this year she certainly didn’t disappoint us in monochrome Tom Ford and Tiffany jewels. We are loving the natural hair and make up, she just looks so fresh and glowy! Reese gets our #4 spot.

Margot Robbie

Lots of ladies were rocking shorter dos on Sunday and we love Margot Robbie’s sleek and edgy bob, which when paired with a red lip = perfection. In our opinion you can never go wrong in Saint Laurent, and this dramatic black gown with plunging neckline and sheer sleeves wowed us…as did the $1.5 million dollar Van Cleef & Arpels necklace – a girl can dream! Margot gets our #3 spot.

Sienna Miller

This Oscar de la Renta gown on Sienna Miller is pretty much perfection to us, which is why she gets our #2 spot. Having just appeared at New York Fashion week 4 days previously, this dress from the 2015 fall collection was literally straight off the runway. Strongly structured but with delicate lace and bows, this dress fits her like a glove and the understated make-up and hair finish the look off perfectly.

Rosamund Pike

All I can say is wow! Rosamund Pike has been killing it this awards season and she looked absolutely radiant on Sunday wearing Givenchy Haute Couture (and check out that post-baby body!) The scallop strapless detailing and textured rose design are simply stunning. Taking a risk with matching red shoes, she absolutely pulls it off and her minimalist hair is the perfect finishing touch. Without a doubt, our #1 look of the night!
