style insider / mollie manning
My blog is a bit of a mixture, I talk about beauty, life, travel with a smidge of style in there sometimes too. It’s something I begun almost two years ago and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. I love photography and writing, so having my blog really lets me be creative and has helped me develop relationships and work with some of my favourite brands.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
I would describe my style as minimalistic, casual and relaxed.
What are the key pieces for SS16 that you want in your wardrobe?
I need the new Yerse Beaded Peasant Tunic in Ecru in my life! I love the beaded detail and I think it’ll look really fab with jeans and some sandals. I also love Zoe Karssen and I’ve been looking at the Boy Scout Tassel Sweater which is an amazing statement jumper! With the British Weather it can still get chilly in the summertime so this can keep me warm!
What are your favourite and least favourite trends for SS16?
My most favourite trend has to be the 70s style, with the suede and patchwork prints. It has been making a comeback for a while now but I don’t think it’s going anywhere, anytime soon. But one trend I didn’t get on board with was the flared jeans! I guess I’m a creature of habit but I still love my skinnies.
What are your wardrobe essentials?
Jeans. I do have about 10 pairs in my wardrobe of all different styles and colours but I live in them! Also basic tees. I love a good basic top and I’m a sucker for stripes or anything with a slogan on. American Vintage do some great luxury basics, I need the Jacksonville Short Sleeve Tee in every colour!
What is your most lusted after item at present?
My most lusted item at the minute apart from a Chanel Cross Body Bag, is an Alex Monroe Gold Bumblebee Necklace.
Who is your style icon?
My style icons are some of my favourite fashion bloggers. Lydia Millen from lydiaelisemillen.com, Emma Hill from ejstyle.com and Victoria from inthefrow.com. I read their blogs daily and love their unique styles.
What is your favourite thing about working at bod & ted?
My favourite thing about working in bod & ted would have to be seeing all the new and exciting deliveries! I love seeing the new trends coming in and displaying them around the shop. It’s also really great that the customers love hearing about and seeing all the new-ins, especially through Instagram where we post what’s coming in all the time!
Thanks Mollie! You’ve definitely got us lusting after that Zoe Karssen sweater too!
