Tell us a little bit about being a personal stylist

I’ve been in the fashion industry for a very long time indeed, working as a fashion designer and consultant for many established brands and independents and I’ve always been asked to style their clients – whilst working in their retail stores too. As I’ve always worked with colour, shape and fit across women and menswear, I absolutely love helping people discover their personalities through the way they dress. It’s empowering to see their confidence and self-esteem grow, with a helping hand from me – and I love making them happy too!

How would you describe your style in 3 words?

Colourful, positive + fun

What are the key pieces for SS19 that you want in your wardrobe?

The jumpsuit – I love an all-in-one, and have many versions of it, and I’m on the lookout for a printed one now.

The white crafted broderie anglaise dress too, and a patchwork printed dress ( Preen) – to add to my dress collection!

What are your favourite pieces from the bod & ted SS19 collections?

I love all the Essentiel Antwerp Stine & Goya pieces this season. I love their bold use of colour, print and cut. I visited the Essential shop a few years ago in Antwerp and its total gorgeous!

What are your favourite and least favourite trends for this season?

I love that coloured linens have made a comeback this season, especially with a 70’s and 80’s vibe – its a really modern way of wearing it. My least favourite trend this season s the Beige / neutral trend, for obvious reasons. However, I’d style it up with flashes of coral, or black to make it more my style.

What are your wardrobe essentials?

A smart blazer in key colours, ie a basic navy one + a fun coloured red one. It can be dressed down with a top + jeans + then dressed up with a girlie printed dress + trainers. The high – Lo look.

Colour pops in separates – bringing life + positivity into your wardrobe in a t-shirt, or jumper or scarf – which can co-ordinate with the rest of your wardrobe.

Print + Stripes – Jazzing up a plain trouser or skirt, I love a Breton stripe or a beautiful printed top or dress to lift your spirits.

Footwear – a variety between smart trainers, mid-heels and high heels. They say different height heels will exercise your ham strings more too ,even better excuse to wear your special shoes!

Who is your style icon?

Kate Spade for her love of colour, creativity, stylish and fun clothing and accessories.

What is your most lusted after item at present?

The Stine Goya sandals – they are so cute with the loveheart – sharing the love to everyone!
